Azoic dyeing is a two-component colour-development system.

1. Prepare the Coupling Component
   Naphthol AS-BS is prepared in a suitable alkaline system according to the textile process.

2. Apply to the Fibre
   The cotton yarn, fabric, or printed substrate absorbs the coupling component.

3. Develop the Colour
   A compatible diazo component or color base is diazotized and applied to the treated substrate.

4. Form the Final Azoic Colour
   The coupling reaction creates the final colour directly on the fibre.

5. Wash and Finish
   Washing, soaping, neutralization, and finishing procedures should be adjusted according to the required fastness and final textile use.
